Open Water Training in Horgen, May 7 – July 9, 2026
Our popular open-water training sessions in Horgen give you the chance to hone your open-water skills in a guided group led by experienced coaches. We swim every Thursday evening in Lake Zurich near Horgen, together with Head Coach Michael “Micky” Tronczik and other coaches. This training is suitable for both beginners and advanced swimmers, as we train in ability-based groups.
Our open-water training is a long-standing tradition on the left bank of the lake. We meet just a stone’s throw from our shop, right by the Horgen train station, next to the Seerose outdoor pool (parking available at the station or directly on Seegartenstrasse). During this group training, you’ll benefit from tips and tricks on topics such as: swimming in a wetsuit, navigating in the lake, swimming around buoys, mass starts, and preparations for the start and transition. Michael “Micky” Tronczik, one of the most experienced and well-known triathlon swim coaches, will join you in the water. No coaching from the beach or dock—he’ll be right there with you. At every session, an athlete from the triathlon or swimming scene will also be in the water to coach you.
